A little bit about Jamey.
Hey y'all and welcome!!! I have been tattooing since 2003 where I first started at a shop in Smithfield, NC. I worked for a few other shops in the area before I stepped away for about a year until early 2010. When I came back to tattooing I had a lot more passion and heart and quickly flew past where I left off. In September of 2012 I opened Anchors Aweigh Tattoo Company in Garner NC. I loved most aspects of owning my own shop, as it was something I had wanted to do since I started. The one thing that I missed was my family. I sold the shop in 2016 to a good friend and fellow tattooer. I am now at The Original Folk City Tattoo in Suffolk Virginia. I have made time to do what I love and be with my family. It also has allowed me more time to travel and I plan on checking out more tattoo conventions. I enjoy doing lots of different types of tattoos but I’m pretty good at cover ups. When I’m not tattooing, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, video games, and generally anything outdoorsy. Take a look around and if you happen to have any questions just let me know.
